Kotor’s Maritime Legacy on Display in Tirana Exhibition

Kotor's maritime heritage is celebrated in Tirana with a unique cartographic exhibition as part of Montenegrin Culture Week in Albania

As part of “Montenegrin Culture Week in Albania,” Montenegro’s Maritime Museum has unveiled the exhibition Five Centuries of Boka Bay in European Cartography at Tirana’s National Library.

The opening ceremony featured notable speakers, including Dr. Pirro Misha, Director of the National Library, and Maja Uskoković, Director of the Maritime Museum. Ilija Mlinarević, the curator of the museum’s Maritime-Technical Collection and creator of the exhibition, emphasized the importance of cultural exchange between the two countries.

The exhibition showcases the rich cartographic heritage of the Bay of Kotor, strengthening regional connections through shared history and culture. An English-language catalogue accompanies the display.
