EBRD Appoints Hannes Takacs as New Head in Albania

The six-day event will once again bring together Croatia’s biggest music stars to honor one of the country’s most beloved singers.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has appointed Hannes Takacs as its new Head of Albania. He will assume the role on 1 September, based in Tirana, succeeding Ekaterina Solovova, who will become the Bank’s Head of Montenegro.

Takacs joined the EBRD in 2014 after more than two decades in corporate finance, capital markets and investment banking.

During his time at the Bank, he has led equity and capital market development projects across multiple regions, served as Head of the EBRD’s office in Mongolia, and most recently worked as Adviser to First Vice President Greg Guyett.

In his new role, Takacs will oversee the EBRD’s investment activities and policy dialogue in Albania, where the institution continues to support projects in infrastructure, renewable energy, private sector development and financial markets. His appointment comes as the Bank expands its focus on sustainable investment and economic competitiveness across the Western Balkans.
