Montenegro Gets Its First National Association of Financial Directors

The Association of Managers of Montenegro (AMM) is organizing the Constitutive Session of the CFO Association of Montenegro, which will be held on Monday, 6 July, starting at 8:00 p.m., at the Hilton Podgorica hotel.

With the establishment of the CFO Association, Montenegro is, for the first time, gaining a national professional organization that brings together financial directors and leaders from the banking sector, the economy, public enterprises and the academic community, with the aim of advancing the finance profession, strengthening corporate governance and developing modern business standards.

The CFO Association represents a strategic project of the Association of Managers of Montenegro and a new platform for professional networking, the exchange of knowledge and experience, the development of professional competencies and the strengthening of cooperation between the economy, institutions and the academic community.

At the constitutive session, the bodies of the Association will be presented and constituted, officially marking the beginning of the work of the first professional network of financial leaders in Montenegro.

Those present will be addressed by the President of the Association of Managers of Montenegro, Budimir Raičković; the President of the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro, Dr Nina Drakić; the Head of the European Investment Bank Representation in Montenegro, Davor Kunc; and the President of the CFO Association, Damir Ivaštinović, who will present the vision and priorities of the Association’s future work.

As part of the event, the CEO Forum panel “Ask the CFO” will be held, featuring Damir Ivaštinović; Ana Cmiljanić, Director of the Finance and IT Sector at the Development Bank of Montenegro; and Sanda Knežević, Director of the Economic Affairs Sector at MTEL, with the panel moderated by Danijela Lasica, editor of Forbes magazine for Montenegro.

The constitutive session will bring together representatives of leading companies and institutions from the fields of banking, energy, telecommunications, tourism, industry, auditing, accounting and the university community, confirming the importance of joint action in advancing financial leadership and the competitiveness of the Montenegrin economy.
