Serbia and Tesla Foundation Join to Boost Innovation

Partnership aims to boost youth entrepreneurship, innovation, and celebrate Tesla’s legacy

The Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS) has signed a cooperation agreement with the Tesla Science Foundation in New York, aiming to foster innovation, support youth entrepreneurship, and honor Nikola Tesla’s legacy. The agreement was signed by Branislava Simanić, Director of the Entrepreneurship Sector at PKS, who emphasized its significance for Serbia’s growing startup ecosystem.

“Serbia currently has over 750 startups, and our goal is to significantly increase that number,” Simanić said. “We’ve launched e-innovation and startup portals and adopted a national strategy to develop the startup ecosystem. The Serbian Chamber of Commerce supports the exchange of ideas, their implementation, and helps small and medium-sized enterprises adopt innovations faster. Keeping young talent in Serbia is a shared mission for all of us.”

The partnership will also promote entrepreneurship among women and youth, as well as advance innovation across sectors.

As part of the collaboration, a conference dedicated to Nikola Tesla, innovation, and youth entrepreneurship will take place in Belgrade from 9 to 12 July 2025. Organized by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, the event will focus on strengthening Serbia’s startup ecosystem.

The conference will bring together representatives from the Serbian Embassy in Washington, the scientific community, and entrepreneurs from Serbia and abroad. PKS highlighted that this global collaboration underscores the importance of Tesla’s legacy and Serbia’s commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship.
