The Miodrag Kostić Foundation has unveiled the Palace of Science in Belgrade, Serbia’s first centre dedicated to the research and popularisation of science. Located on Kralja Milana Street, it is the largest facility of its kind in the region.
The Palace features over 30 exhibits, including Europe’s largest interactive globe and a 36-seat planetarium offering 360-degree space projections. It also hosts temporary exhibitions, with the first on sharks from the American Museum of Natural History.
Visitors can enjoy VR tours, a Children’s Science Corner, a café served by a robot, and spaces for panels, workshops, and lectures.
In addition to public attractions, the Palace houses 20 scientific centres, 19 of which are in collaboration with Belgrade’s Faculty of Electrical Engineering and one with Radio Television Serbia. These centres focus on fields such as robotics, artificial intelligence, and biomedical research.
