EXPO 2027 Launches Procurement for Pavilion Construction and Exhibition Spaces

Serbia has launched a new procurement process for the design, construction and outfitting of pavilions and exhibition spaces for EXPO 2027 Belgrade, marking another major step in preparations for the international specialised exhibition

The procurement covers the design and construction of exhibition facilities, as well as their equipment and preparation for participating countries and other exhibitors. The process is expected to play an important role in turning the planned EXPO site into a fully operational exhibition complex ahead of the event.

EXPO 2027 is scheduled to take place in Belgrade from 15 May to 15 August 2027, under the theme “Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All.” The event is expected to bring together countries, organisations and visitors from around the world.

Preparations for the exhibition have already involved significant investment in infrastructure around Surčin, where the EXPO complex is being developed. The wider project includes exhibition halls, accommodation and transport infrastructure intended to improve access to the site and leave a longer-term legacy for the area. The latest procurement represents an important transition from planning towards the physical delivery of the exhibition spaces, with the facilities required to accommodate national presentations, exhibitions and accompanying programmes.

For Serbia, EXPO 2027 is also being positioned as a major opportunity to strengthen Belgrade’s international profile, attract visitors and showcase the country’s investment, tourism, cultural and business potential.
