Air Serbia and Delta Plan for a Hotel Development Near Belgrade Airport

Air Serbia is moving forward with plans to develop a hotel near Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, with the project expected to expand accommodation options for passengers, business travellers and other visitors to the Serbian capital

Air Serbia is the project investor, while financing is being provided by Delta Rest, a Belgrade-based company operating within Delta Holding, one of Serbia’s largest business groups. The two companies signed a financing agreement for the project in June this year.

Delta has an extensive hotel portfolio in Belgrade, including Crowne Plaza, Hotel Indigo, Radisson Collection and Holiday Inn. The group is also preparing to open an InterContinental hotel in the city by the end of the year and owns the InterContinental hotel in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

The potential development comes as Belgrade Airport continues to play an important role in Serbia’s transport infrastructure and tourism sector.

Accommodation close to the airport could offer greater convenience to passengers with connecting flights, late arrivals or early departures, while also serving airline crews and business visitors.

Air Serbia has been expanding its route network and strengthening Belgrade’s connectivity with destinations across Europe and beyond. A hotel near the airport could complement these operations by providing additional services for travellers and supporting the development of the airport area as a business and transport centre.

Further details about the proposed hotel, including its financing, operator and expected opening date, will depend on the next steps in the project. If realised, the investment would add a new hospitality component to the airport’s infrastructure and could contribute to the continued growth of Belgrade as a regional travel hub.
