Podgorica Firms to Design Key Motorway to Serbia

Three local companies secure €3.65 million project to design the Andrijevica–Boljari motorway, connecting Montenegro with Serbia

In a step towards enhancing regional connectivity, three Podgorica-based companies—CDS Projekt, Via Projekt, and Geotin MNE—have been selected to spearhead the design of the Andrijevica–Berane–Boljari motorway. The ambitious project, commissioned by Monteput, will see these firms pooling their expertise and committing €3.65 million to bring the plan to fruition.

The motorway, stretching roughly 50 kilometres, is a vital link that will connect Montenegro to Serbia, extending through Požega and eventually reaching Belgrade. The design encompasses three key sections: Andrijevica, Berane, and Crnča, forming the backbone of the country’s future transport infrastructure.

This collaborative effort is bolstered by a team of subcontractors, including Podgorica’s Aqua Engineering, Intecon, and GP Team, Bar-based MMK Control, and Optimusproject from Bijelo Polje. Together, these firms are tasked with turning a bold vision into reality, aiming to transform Montenegro’s transport landscape while strengthening its cross-border ties.

The Andrijevica–Boljari motorway is more than just a road—it represents a gateway to new economic opportunities, enhanced mobility, and deeper integration with neighbouring Serbia. For Montenegro, this marks yet another stride in its journey toward modernisation and regional partnership.
