Dot Foods Partners with Gideon to Revolutionize Logistics with AMRs

Croatian Dot Foods and Gideon team up to integrate Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) into its logistics operations

Croatian Dot Foods has partnered with Gideon to integrate Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) into its logistics operations, starting at the company’s flagship facility in Mt. Sterling, Illinois. This partnership is a key element of Dot Foods’ strategy to enhance efficiency, empower its workforce, and scale operations through innovative solutions.

Gideon’s advanced AMRs are designed to tackle the unique complexities of Dot Foods’ operations, including a wide variety of suppliers, diverse pallet types, and dynamic loading configurations. By optimizing workflows and reducing manual labor, the AMR technology aims to improve productivity and support the company’s long-term growth goals.

Troy Schenk, Director of Automation at Dot Foods, noted the importance of careful technology adoption, stating, “Gideon’s commitment to understanding our operations and delivering reliable automation convinced us to move forward.” Jakub Michalec of Gideon highlighted the partnership as a showcase for their AMRs’ ability to address challenges in food distribution while supporting workforce development and operational resilience.
