The visit comes as the two countries mark 20 years of diplomatic relations, with both leaders expressing a desire to use the anniversary as an opportunity to open a new chapter in bilateral ties based on concrete projects and practical cooperation.
According to President Milatović, discussions centred on intensifying diplomatic contacts, encouraging greater trade and investment, and exploring opportunities for collaboration in sectors of mutual interest. The visit also reflects Montenegro’s broader efforts to strengthen its diplomatic and economic presence beyond Europe while maintaining its strategic focus on European Union accession.
Although Montenegro and Egypt have traditionally enjoyed friendly relations, economic cooperation has remained relatively modest.
