Montenegro’s Ambitious Future

A landmark economic agreement with the UAE promises to reshape Montenegro’s future, with ambitious infrastructure projects and a focus on sustainable, long-term investments

Montenegro’s Prime Minister, Milojko Spajić, announced a significant step toward economic transformation after the government approved an agreement with the UAE, unlocking the potential for massive investments.

These include the construction of the Adriatic-Ionian Highway, a new airport in Ulcinj, and major local infrastructure projects.

Spajić emphasized that the country is moving away from land sales, preferring joint investments that benefit both the state and local communities.

While French companies express keen interest in Montenegro, the spotlight is on UAE-based investor Mohamed Alabbar, who is eyeing a major tourist project.

With up to €30 billion on the table, the government is committed to creating lasting partnerships that protect Montenegro’s interests, avoiding short-term deals.

The strategic projects aim to bolster tourism, improve healthcare, and modernize infrastructure, potentially revolutionizing the country’s economic landscape.
