In a notable boost to Serbia’s economy, five new small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have entered the SME HUB programme, aimed at transforming local businesses and fostering partnerships with major corporations.
With this programme, these companies, spanning industries from cosmetics to IT, are set to see their revenues surge by over 35% in the coming months.
The SME HUB, a public-private initiative backed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and Serbian ICT HUB, supports domestic firms in enhancing their competitiveness.
This round of transformation involves an investment of around 600,000 Swiss Francs, covering services such as management consulting, legal advice, and ERP systems.
As these businesses align with larger players, they’re gaining access to new markets and innovating products, strengthening Serbia’s position in global supply chains.
With the first year already proving successful, the programme’s expansion promises long-term growth for Serbia’s SME sector.
