On Tuesday, 10 September, BBC World Questions will bring its renowned global debate series to Tirana, the capital of Albania, to discuss the future of the country. This event will address critical issues such as economic development, corruption, migration, and the cost of living, with a panel of prominent politicians and campaigners.
BBC World Questions is a programme that travels the world, inviting local audiences to ask the questions that matter most to them. Hosted by the BBC World Service, it brings together experts, politicians, and activists to engage in open and honest discussions about pressing issues affecting the host nation. Each episode is driven by audience questions, making it a unique platform where the public’s voice guides the debate.
The Tirana event will be chaired by BBC correspondent Jonny Dymond, who will moderate the hour-long discussion. The panel will include:

– Lulzim Basha – Leader of the Euro Atlantic Democrats
– Edlira Cepani – Lawyer and human rights activist
– Fiori Hoxhaj – Youth campaigner

The debate will be recorded in front of a live audience at the Rogner Hotel on Tuesday, 10 September at 7 pm, with a pre-event reception offering refreshments from 6 pm.
