Croatians Push For Legal Right To Remote Work

Survey shows growing demand for flexible working arrangements

A growing number of employees in Croatia support the idea of making remote work a legal right, according to a recent survey. The results reflect changing attitudes toward work, with many employees valuing flexibility and work-life balance.

The survey indicates that a significant share of respondents would like the option to work from home to be formally regulated, ensuring clearer rights and obligations for both employees and employers.

Experts note that while remote work has expanded in recent years, particularly after the pandemic, legal frameworks have not fully kept pace, leaving room for further regulation and standardisation.
