Slovenian Iskra Expands Footprint with New Factory in Bosnia and Logistics Hub in Serbia

The renowned Slovenian industrial solutions provider, Iskra, sets ambitious plans for expansion in the Balkans with a new production facility in Bosnia and a strategic logistics centre near Belgrade

Slovenian industrial giant Iskra is intensifying its regional footprint with a new manufacturing plant in Bosnia and a logistics hub in Serbia, marking a significant step in its strategic growth across Southeast Europe.

The 12,000-square-metre facility will rise in Nova Topola, Bosnia, boosting Iskra’s production capacity and providing much-needed employment opportunities. In parallel, a logistics centre near Belgrade aims to streamline operations in the heart of the Balkans.

Building on its momentum, Iskra plans to outfit the Bosnia plant with advanced robotic lines for enhanced efficiency, alongside expanding laboratory facilities through its Croatian cable manufacturer, Elka.

Recent acquisitions—including the takeover of the Šibenik shipyard and a majority stake in the Croatian electro-technical company ELMAP—underline Iskra’s ambitions to dominate the regional industrial landscape.

With these investments, Iskra is positioning itself as a key player in the evolving tech-driven manufacturing sector.
