Dongfeng Opens First Sales and Technical Centre in Slovenia

Chinese carmaker Dongfeng has officially opened its first sales and technical centre in Slovenia

The centre, located in Kamnik pod Krimom, just 10 kilometres south of Ljubljana, is operated by local importer Plan-net Avto.

At the inauguration event on 23 October, four new electric and three petrol models were introduced. Speaking at the ceremony, Chinese Ambassador Wang Shunqing highlighted Slovenia’s interest in collaborating with Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers.

Ambassador also expressed gratitude to Slovenia for voting against the EU’s proposal to raise tariffs on Chinese EV imports

Having entered the Slovenian market only a year ago, Dongfeng expects to sell around 800 vehicles in 2024, with plans to double or even triple sales over the next five years, according to Xie Qian, general manager of Dongfeng’s EU regional headquarters.
