Taxi Drivers Across BiH Announce Strict Measures Against Illegal Ride-Hailing Apps

Taxi associations from across Bosnia and Herzegovina have announced coordinated measures to combat the rise of illegal ride-hailing applications.

Representatives from Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Tuzla, Zenica, Mostar, and other cities say the spread of unlicensed platforms is threatening their livelihoods and undermining passenger safety.

Drivers warned they will escalate actions if authorities fail to regulate the sector and enforce stricter penalties against illegal operators. They argue that fair competition and consumer protection require clear rules, stressing that unlicensed services avoid taxes and operate outside legal frameworks.
