Young Energy Europe Comes to Podgorica

A hands-on sustainability programme is helping companies in Montenegro improve energy efficiency, resource management and green business practices

As sustainability moves from corporate ambition to business necessity, Young Energy Europe is bringing practical tools and expertise to companies looking to accelerate their green transition. The programme, implemented by the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce (AHK) for the third consecutive year in Montenegro, focuses on turning sustainability goals into measurable operational changes.

The new training cycle for future Energy Scouts will take place in Podgorica from 27 to 29 May 2026, with the support of the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro. The programme is designed for companies aiming to strengthen sustainability and energy-efficiency practices through directly applicable knowledge and practical solutions.

During the intensive three-day training, participants will gain expertise in climate protection, renewable energy, energy efficiency, recycling, resource management and e-mobility.

A strong focus is placed on the development of practical company-based projects, supported by mentors and presented before an expert jury at the end of the programme.

Rather than remaining a theoretical exercise, the initiative encourages companies to begin implementing sustainable solutions during the training process itself.

The project is funded by the European Climate Initiative (EUKI) of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, and is implemented in cooperation with German foreign trade chambers in partner countries.

Companies from Montenegro can apply until 22 May 2026 through the Young Energy Europe online application form.
