The Sixth Trebinje Energy Summit

Energy experts gather in Trebinje to address the region’s pressing climate challenges, decarbonisation efforts, and the future of energy networks.

Today marks the opening of the Sixth International “Trebinje Energy Summit” (SET), a pivotal event that promises to shape the energy discourse in the Balkans.

Over the next three days, the summit will see around 600 participants, including key policymakers and industry leaders, gather at the Cultural Centre in Trebinje.

The focus will be on tackling the region’s energy challenges, particularly the pressing issues of climate change, decarbonisation, and the transition to sustainable energy.

The summit will feature seven panel discussions with 40 experts from the fields of energy production, transmission, and trade.

Key topics will include the role of the transmission network in reducing carbon footprints, the investments required for renewable energy, and the future reliability of energy grids.

With ministers and directors from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and the Republic of Srpska in attendance, the summit serves as a vital platform for shaping a sustainable energy future for the region.
