The chamber will be headed by Amir Gross Kabiri, an Israeli businessman who has been active in the region and has previously been involved in promoting stronger economic ties between Israel and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The establishment of the chamber is intended to facilitate contacts between businesses, support investment and encourage the exchange of expertise and commercial opportunities. Areas such as industry, technology, energy, agriculture and tourism could provide opportunities for further cooperation.
For Republika Srpska, attracting foreign investment and expanding its network of international business partners remain important economic priorities. Israel, meanwhile, has developed a strong reputation in areas including technology, innovation, agriculture and water management, offering potential areas for cooperation with businesses in the region.
The chamber could also provide companies with assistance in identifying potential partners and entering new markets, while creating opportunities for Israeli investors to explore projects in Republika Srpska.
The initiative comes as Banja Luka seeks to strengthen its international economic links and attract additional foreign capital, while presenting the entity as a potential destination for investment and business cooperation in the Western Balkans.
