Montenegro’s Telecom Investment Drives Growth

Montenegro's telecom operators continue to invest heavily, boosting both infrastructure and the economy

Montenegro’s telecommunications sector has seen a notable surge in investment, with operators pouring €80.87 million into electronic communication networks and services last year, marking a 5.99% increase from 2023.

This substantial investment is part of a long-term strategy to enhance the quality and availability of high-speed communication services across the nation.

As a vital infrastructural pillar, these investments play a key role in driving broader economic growth, improving efficiency across various sectors.

Operators are well aware of the need for continuous innovation, committing to ongoing research, development, and the introduction of new technologies.

In a positive outlook, further investments are expected, with plans for €63 million this year and €53 million by 2026.

Over the past decade, Montenegro’s telecom industry has attracted over €775 million, cementing the country’s status as a growing hub for cutting-edge technology.

A stable regulatory framework has been instrumental in fostering this upward trend, making the market more attractive for investors and ensuring a level playing field.
