EBRD Appoints Miljan Zdrale as Regional Director for Central Europe

The EBRD has appointed Miljan Zdrale as Regional Director for Central Europe and Head of Croatia, effective 1 January 2025, bringing extensive experience to his new role

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has named Miljan Zdrale as Regional Director for Central Europe, overseeing Croatia, Czechia, Hungary, the Slovak Republic, and Slovenia. Effective January 1, 2025, he will also serve as Head of Croatia, succeeding Mark Davis, who now leads the EBRD’s Southern and Eastern Mediterranean region.

With over two decades at the EBRD, Mr. Zdrale brings extensive experience, having led Agribusiness activities across 11 countries in Central and Southeastern Europe. Under his leadership, the sector achieved €200-300 million in annual investments. His expertise spans municipal infrastructure, tourism projects, and agribusiness, earning him recognition as a proven leader in the region.

The EBRD has invested more than €4.8 billion in Croatia, focusing on private-sector growth, capital market development, and public company commercialization. The Bank remains committed to fostering a supportive business environment alongside its investments.
