In a significant step towards diversifying Serbia’s energy landscape, Turkish energy firm Egesa Enerji has launched two solar power projects in Vojvodina, marking its entry into the Serbian renewables market.
Located in Aradac and Odžaci, the plants will boast a combined capacity of 8.6 MW, with each site generating over 4 MW.
The projects, backed by Egesa as the lead investor, are being delivered by an international EPC consortium including Turkey’s Electric Power Construction, domestic firm Solarna energija budućnosti, and experienced Turkish developer Bey Han, which brings a track record of 250 MW in solar capacity.
With Serbian company SEB supplying state-of-the-art photovoltaic modules and systems, the consortium aims to deliver fully operational, grid-ready solar farms.
This move not only reinforces Serbia’s green transition but also reflects growing investor confidence in its energy sector.
Following successful projects in Turkey and the US, Egesa’s arrival signals a bright, cross-continental partnership powered by the sun.
