Macedonia is poised for significant economic growth following the announcement of a new investment in Skopje’s Free Industrial Zone.
Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski revealed that the project, worth millions, would focus on producing electronic devices for export and create over 200 jobs.
The venture is expected to commence within the next 10-12 days.
Mickoski also disclosed that two additional investments were anticipated in the Free Zone in Štip, alongside the expansion of an existing project in the automotive industry.
These initiatives, he noted, would inject several hundred million euros into the economy and generate over 1,000 jobs.
The Prime Minister expressed optimism about the potential impact, stating that the investments would bring positive news for the residents of Štip and its surrounding areas.
Although details remain limited, he clarified that one of the Štip projects would enhance automotive production.
Furthermore, Mickoski indicated that energy projects worth $500 million, originally announced last year, would be completed by late June or early July, further contributing to the country’s industrial diversification.
