SEEnergy Conference Sparks Innovation in Green Energy Transition

The SEEnergy international energy conference, recently held at the Celje Fair, showcased groundbreaking solutions and discussions aimed at advancing the global green energy transition

The SEEnergy international energy conference, held from 15 to 17 May at the Celje Fair, successfully concluded, marking a significant advancement in the energy sector. The event attracted approximately 600 visitors, featured 86 influential speakers, and showcased 20 innovative exhibitors across 10 thematic sections, creating a dynamic platform for discussion and innovation.

This year’s conference emphasized the integration of various energy solutions that contribute to the global green transition, offering financially viable options tailored for businesses and the industry. The event’s rich program spanned three days, focusing on critical aspects of energy like digitization, wind energy, CO2 capture, hydrogen use, solar energy, and more, highlighting the technological and policy innovations driving the sector forward.

Notable discussions included the role of digitization in enhancing network operations and energy efficiency, the advancements in wind energy with insights from Slovenian and Croatian experts, and innovative approaches in CO2 capture and utilization. The potential of hydrogen as a clean energy carrier was also a key topic, along with the financing of energy projects and the utilization of solar energy in Southeast Europe.

The conference also delved into the use of heat pumps and geothermal energy, discussed the evolving green transition policies, and explored the decarbonization efforts in non-EU countries in the region. A significant highlight was the panel on the role of nuclear energy in the green transition, where experts debated its viability and strategic importance in achieving nearly zero carbon emissions.

Overall, the SEEnergy conference not only fostered a comprehensive understanding of the current energy landscape but also set the stage for future innovations and collaborations to achieve sustainable energy goals in Southeast Europe.
