Located on the banks of the Drava River, the beach has undergone a comprehensive transformation aimed at improving infrastructure, safety and visitor amenities. The project included the modernization of sports and recreational facilities, upgraded pedestrian areas, new public spaces and enhanced access for visitors of all ages.
City officials described the redevelopment as one of the largest investments in Osijek’s tourism and leisure infrastructure in recent years. The renovated complex is expected to attract both local residents and visitors from across Croatia and neighboring countries, further strengthening the city’s position as a regional tourism and recreation destination.
The reopening comes at the start of the summer season, with authorities highlighting the beach’s role as a key gathering place for sports, entertainment and outdoor activities. The upgraded facilities are also expected to host a variety of cultural and community events throughout the year.
Officials believe the investment will contribute to the broader development of Osijek and eastern Croatia by improving quality of life for residents while enhancing the city’s attractiveness for tourists and future investments.
