Belgrade is Ready for Global Sustainability and Connectivity Forum

Belgrade will host the first Horizons Sustainability and Connectivity Forum on June 18 and 19, gathering global experts and leaders to discuss key challenges shaping the future of the economy.

Belgrade will host the inaugural Horizons Sustainability and Connectivity Forum on June 18 and 19, bringing together leading economists, policymakers, investors, technology experts and business leaders from around the world to discuss some of the most pressing challenges shaping the global economy.

The event will take place at Sava Center and is organized by the Center for International Relations and Sustainable Development (CIRSD) in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia.

The two-day forum will focus on sustainability, infrastructure development, energy transition, artificial intelligence, digital innovation, finance and strategic connectivity. Organizers say the goal is to create a high-level platform for dialogue on new models of cooperation between Europe, China, Asia and other global partners amid significant geopolitical and economic changes.

Among the confirmed speakers are renowned economist Jeffrey Sachs, BYD Executive Vice President Stella Li, 01.AI founder Kai-Fu Lee, economist Branko Milanović, Ifri founder Thierry de Montbrial, Berlin Global Dialogue founder Lars-Hendrik Röller and China and Globalization Center president Henry Huiyao Wang, alongside representatives of international financial institutions, investment funds, major corporations and academia.

The forum will open with a ceremony and the presentation of the inaugural Sustainability & Connectivity Award, followed by keynote addresses and discussions on the future of global development. Organizers hope the event will establish Belgrade as an important annual gathering place for decision-makers from business, finance, diplomacy and technology.

According to CIRSD and the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, the initiative aims to strengthen Serbia’s role as a regional hub for international dialogue while fostering investment opportunities and cooperation on sustainable development, technological transformation and strategic connectivity.
