In a display of growing bilateral ties, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković and Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani met on Tuesday to discuss strengthening their countries’ already robust partnership.
The occasion was a high-level Economic Forum in Zagreb, drawing over 150 companies to explore new investment opportunities and deepen trade links.
Plenković expressed his satisfaction with the ongoing collaboration, emphasizing that Italy was Croatia’s second-largest trading partner in 2024, with a trade value of €8.3 billion.
The leaders delved into a range of issues, from the situation in the Western Balkans, particularly Bosnia and Herzegovina, to the continued support for Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression.
Tajani, who also met with his Croatian counterpart, Foreign Minister Gordan Grlić Radman, highlighted the forum’s potential to strengthen economic cooperation between the two nations.
This summit marks another milestone in a flourishing relationship, as both nations seek to leverage their shared geographical and political interests to bolster stability and prosperity in the region.
