Aman Appoints New General Manager for Sveti Stefan

The appointment comes as Aman prepares to welcome guests back to one of the Adriatic’s most iconic luxury destinations

Luxury hospitality group Aman has appointed Kaya Onaran as the new General Manager of Aman Sveti Stefan, one of Montenegro’s most recognisable hospitality landmarks and a flagship destination within the Aman portfolio.

Aman welcomed Onaran to the property, describing the appointment as an important step as the destination enters a new chapter.

Onaran joined Aman in 2023 as Resort Manager of Amanyara in Turks & Caicos. He later participated in Aman’s leadership development programme, ELEVATE, before being promoted to General Manager of Amangalla in Sri Lanka.

According to the company, he demonstrated strong leadership capabilities and a commitment to the guest experience throughout his career within the Aman group.

His appointment comes at an important moment for the destination. Aman has announced the reopening of Villa Miločer, while the island of Sveti Stefan is expected to welcome guests from 1 July, marking a significant step in the return of one of the Mediterranean’s most celebrated luxury resorts.

The reopening is being closely watched across the region, given Sveti Stefan’s status as one of Montenegro’s most iconic tourism assets and a symbol of high-end hospitality on the Adriatic.

For decades, Aman Sveti Stefan has attracted world leaders, business executives and international celebrities, helping position Montenegro on the global luxury travel map.
