Sarajevo Among Finalists for National Geographic Travel’s ‘Best in the World 2025’ Award

Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, has been named one of the finalists in National Geographic Travel's prestigious "Best in the World 2025" category, chosen by readers

Alongside Sarajevo, the other contenders include Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), New Orleans (USA), Bodrum (Turkey), and Cuzco (Peru).

As part of the voting process, National Geographic Travel invited its Instagram followers to choose the destination they would most like to visit in 2025. In describing Sarajevo, the publication praised the city’s rich history, which extends beyond its turbulent 20th-century legacy, offering visitors a maze of bazaars, mosques, and vibrant bars, along with the Olympic mountains nearby.

Voting is closing today. Readers can vote in the Instagram comments section to decide which city will be crowned the best travel destination for 2025.
