Mostar hosted the 458th annual diving competition from the iconic Stari Most, with 38 divers from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the surrounding region participating. The event, steeped in tradition, featured divers competing in two categories: 18 for head-first dives and 20 for feet-first dives.
In the head-first diving category, Vedad Dedić claimed first place, followed by Evald Krnić in second, and Dino Bajrić in third. For the feet-first dives, Emel Tiro took the top spot, with Igor Kazić coming in second and Jasmin Kreso in third.

Armin Karalić Bakota was recognized as the best overall diver, while Alica Jakerić received an award for his long-standing dedication to preserving the tradition. The event began with a ceremonial performance and an aerial silk dance beneath the arch of Stari Most, performed by dancer Petra Kožul.
The diving tradition from Stari Most dates back to the 17th century and is a significant cultural event in Mostar. The bridge, originally built in the 16th century by the Ottomans, has become a symbol of the city and its resilience, especially after being reconstructed following its destruction during the Bosnian War. The annual diving competition not only showcases the bravery and skill of the divers but also celebrates the enduring spirit of the Mostar community.
