Croatia Opens a Tourism Office in Berlin

Croatia has opened a new tourism office in Berlin, reinforcing its presence in one of its most important source markets and highlighting the growing importance of German visitors to the country’s tourism industry.

The new office of the Croatian National Tourist Board was officially inaugurated in the German capital by Croatian Minister of Tourism and Sports Tonči Glavina and CNB Director Kristjan Staničić. Officials said the move reflects Croatia’s commitment to maintaining strong ties with Germany, which consistently ranks among the country’s largest tourism markets.

German tourists account for the highest number of foreign overnight stays in Croatia, making the market strategically important for the country’s tourism sector. The new Berlin office is expected to strengthen promotional activities, improve cooperation with travel agencies and tour operators, and support Croatia’s visibility among German travellers throughout the year.

Speaking at the opening, Croatian officials emphasized that Germany remains a key partner not only during the summer season but also in efforts to promote sustainable and year-round tourism. The office will serve as a hub for marketing campaigns, business networking and the presentation of Croatia’s diverse tourism offer, including cultural, gastronomic and active tourism experiences.

The opening comes as Croatia continues to diversify its tourism strategy and attract visitors beyond the traditional peak season. By expanding its presence in Germany, Croatian tourism authorities hope to further strengthen visitor numbers, encourage longer stays and support the continued growth of one of the country’s most important economic sectors.
