Ryanair Introduces Zagreb-Podgorica Route

Ryanair reconnects Zagreb and Podgorica with new flight route, expanding European network

In an exciting development for travelers in the Adria region, Irish low-cost carrier Ryanair has announced a significant expansion of its summer flight schedule, which includes an increase in both flight frequency and destinations from Zagreb. Notably, this expansion sees the introduction of a new route connecting the capitals of Croatia and Montenegro, Zagreb and Podgorica, starting from 2nd April.

Flights on this new route will operate three times a week—on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays—marking a significant step in enhancing regional connectivity. However, the frequency will adjust to a twice-weekly schedule in October, before the route is suspended in November.

Ticket sales for this route have already commenced, with prices expected to start from an enticing €15-20 during the off-peak season. Summer fares are anticipated to range between €25 and €35, offering an affordable option for travelers.

In addition to Podgorica, Ryanair’s ambitious expansion plans for Zagreb include connections to three Spanish airports—Alicante, Palma de Mallorca, and Girona—as well as links to Thessaloniki, Corfu, and Kos in Greece. Further afield, the airline will also establish routes to Marseille in France, Pisa in Italy, Sofia in Bulgaria, and Manchester in the United Kingdom, significantly broadening the travel options available to Croatian passengers and bolstering Zagreb’s position as a central hub in the region.

This strategic expansion by Ryanair is poised to enhance the accessibility and convenience for both leisure and business travelers, fostering greater cultural and economic exchanges between Croatia, Montenegro, and the wider European community.
