Zagreb Burger Festival Returns

Zagreb is getting ready for another edition of the Burger Festival, bringing together some of Croatia’s best-known burger makers and street-food vendors for a celebration of one of the world’s most popular fast-food dishes

The 2026 edition will feature 17 vendors and 56 different burgers, giving visitors a wide range of flavours and styles to choose from, from classic beef combinations to more creative and contemporary takes on the burger.

The festival has become a popular part of Zagreb’s food and events scene, attracting both local residents and visitors looking to combine casual dining with music, entertainment and an outdoor festival atmosphere.

Beyond burgers, the event reflects the growing popularity of street food culture in Croatia, with festivals increasingly becoming places where independent restaurants, chefs and food brands can reach new audiences and experiment with new concepts. For visitors, the appeal is also in the variety: rather than committing to a single restaurant, festival-goers can sample different interpretations of the same dish and compare everything from the meat and buns to sauces, toppings and cooking techniques.

With dozens of burgers on offer this year, the Zagreb Burger Festival is expected to once again turn the capital into a temporary meeting point for food lovers, street-food fans and younger visitors, while showcasing the increasingly diverse food scene in the city.
