Tivat Prepares Tender for Key Boulevard Project by Month’s End

Mayor Komnenović reportedly stated there would be no future development of Tivat without the boulevard

The Montenegrin coastal town of Tivat is reportedly moving closer to a major infrastructure milestone, as the Government’s Transport Administration plans to launch a tender for the construction of a new boulevard by the end of the month.

According to local reports, the announcement followed a coordination meeting convened by Tivat’s mayor, Željko Komnenović, which brought together representatives from all institutions and companies expected to participate in the project.

The meeting was said to have aimed at aligning administrative activities and incorporating technical requirements into the tender documentation.

Mayor Komnenović was quoted as saying that there would be no further development of Tivat without the boulevard, and he reportedly emphasised that funding had already been secured through the national capital budget.

He added that the Government’s Transport Administration would oversee the project, with full support from the municipality.

It was further reported that the director of the Transport Administration, Radomir Vuksanović, confirmed the tender would be announced in August, with construction expected to begin in September next year.

The project is planned as a turnkey operation, to be executed in phases, with traffic flow maintained throughout.
