EXIT Festival is marking its 25th anniversary this week in Novi Sad, running from 10 to 13 July—but it may also be its final edition in Serbia. Organisers have confirmed that the festival will expand internationally, with the next major event to be held in Egypt, directly in front of the pyramids.
The news comes after organisers hinted last month that this would be the “last EXIT of this kind held in Serbia.”
They have now signed a deal with an Egyptian company to host a new music festival on site in 2025, with the official presentation scheduled shortly after this year’s edition concludes.
Launched in 2000 as a student movement for peace and freedom in Serbia and the Balkans, EXIT has grown into one of Europe’s most recognised music festivals. Its upcoming move signals not only a geographic shift but a potential new chapter in its identity.
