EXIT Festival Arrives in Montenegro Next Week

The renowned festival is bringing internationally acclaimed electronic artists to Ulcinj as Montenegro looks to strengthen its position on Europe's festival map

EXIT Festival will make its Montenegrin debut from 3 to 6 July, transforming Velika Plaža in Ulcinj into one of the region’s largest open-air music venues. The four-day event is expected to attract thousands of visitors from across Europe, giving an early boost to Montenegro’s summer tourism season.

Rather than focusing on mainstream pop and EDM superstars, this year’s programme is built around some of the electronic music world’s most respected names. The lineup includes Jamie JonesMaceo PlexMonolinkArgyStephan Bodzin (live)AwenDeer Jade and Space Motion, reflecting EXIT’s decision to target fans of house, techno and melodic electronic music.

Founded in Novi Sad in 2000, EXIT has grown into one of Europe’s most recognised music festivals, welcoming millions of visitors over the past 25 years. Its expansion to Montenegro marks one of the biggest developments in the country’s festival industry in recent years, with organisers hoping the combination of music and Ulcinj’s famous 13-kilometre beach will establish the destination as a new summer hotspot for international visitors.

For Montenegro, the festival represents more than a cultural event. It is also an opportunity to extend the tourist season, increase international visibility and showcase the country’s growing ambitions in the regional events industry.
