Serbia Advances “Smile of Vojvodina” Expressway With Azvirt Deal

Serbia has taken a step forward in infrastructure development with the signing of a contract for the construction of the “Smile of Vojvodina” expressway.

The agreement was signed with the company Azvirt, marking the continuation of major transport investments in the northern part of the country. The project aims to improve connectivity across Vojvodina, linking key cities and facilitating faster movement of people and goods, which is expected to support regional economic growth and attract further investments.

The planned expressway, known as “Osmeh Vojvodine,” will be built in phases and represents part of a broader strategy to modernize Serbia’s road infrastructure. Officials emphasized that such projects not only enhance traffic efficiency but also strengthen Serbia’s position as an important transit corridor in Southeast Europe.
