Zelensky and Plenković Sign Long-Term Cooperation Agreement

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković have signed a bilateral agreement in Dubrovnik, marking Zelensky’s first visit to Croatia

The agreement focuses on long-term cooperation, with Croatia pledging humanitarian aid, assistance in demining, and support in prosecuting war crimes. 

This landmark agreement comes as Zelensky attends the Ukraine-Southeast Europe summit, the third of its kind following gatherings in Athens and Tirana earlier this year

Zelensky’s visit and the summit underscore the importance of Croatia’s support for Ukraine amidst the ongoing conflict with Russia.

The bilateral agreement signifies deepening ties between the two countries, with Croatia offering its own experience from the Balkan conflicts as a foundation for assisting Ukraine’s reconstruction and justice efforts.
