Tivat, Sarajevo, and Dubrovnik lead in growth, while Maribor and Rijeka report sharp declines

Commercial airports across the former Yugoslavia handled a total of 32,114,233 passengers from January to October, with 3.17 million travelers in October alone.

Among the standout performers in October 2023 were Tivat, recording a 61.3% year-on-year growth, Sarajevo with a 32.1% increase, and Dubrovnik, which saw a 26.7% boost in passenger numbers, according to portal exyuaviation.com.

However, several regional airports faced challenges during the same period. Maribor experienced a significant 72.2% decline in passengers, Rijeka saw a 65.1% drop compared to October 2023, and Niš recorded a 9.6% year-on-year decrease.

Other airports, including Podgorica, Banja Luka, Ohrid, Osijek, and Brač, also reported lower figures compared to the previous year.
