Air Serbia to Launch Direct Vienna and Malta Flights from Niš

The new routes will expand Air Serbia’s network from southern Serbia, giving passengers from Niš direct connections to two major European destinations

Air Serbia will introduce direct flights from Niš to Vienna and Malta starting in October, strengthening the airline’s presence at Niš Constantine the Great Airport. The new routes are expected to improve connectivity for passengers from Niš and the wider southern and southeastern Serbia, who currently often rely on connections through Belgrade or other regional airports.

The Niš–Vienna route will provide a direct link to the Austrian capital, while the new Niš–Malta service will connect the city with one of the most popular Mediterranean destinations for Serbian travellers.

The expansion comes as Air Serbia continues to develop its network outside its main hub at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, while Niš seeks to strengthen its position as an alternative international gateway for southern Serbia.

The new connections could also support tourism and business links, making travel between Niš and the two destinations faster and more convenient while further integrating the city into the European air transport network.
