Croatia has experienced continued food price growth, driven by a combination of strong domestic demand and external shocks, according to an analysis by the Croatian National Bank. The report points to global disruptions, including energy costs and supply chain pressures, as key contributors to inflation trends.
At the same time, rising wages and consumer demand within Croatia have added further upward pressure on prices, particularly in the food sector.
The central bank notes that while external factors initially triggered inflation, domestic conditions have played an increasing role in sustaining it.
The findings suggest that addressing inflation will require both external stabilization and careful domestic policy measures, as Croatia continues to navigate broader economic challenges.
