Gordan Kolak Named Croatia’s Visionary of the Year

Končar’s CEO received the top recognition at the fourth edition of tportal’s Vizionar godine awards, celebrating leaders in business, technology, society, culture and sport.

Gordan Kolak, President of the Management Board of Končar, has been named Croatia’s overall Visionary of the Year after also winning the economy category at the fourth edition of tportal’s annual awards project.

Awards were presented across five categories: economy, technology, society, culture and sport. In technology, Nikola Kapraljević and Tomislav Car, founders of Croatian tech companies Productive and Infinum, were recognised for building internationally successful businesses.

Mate Uzinić, Archbishop of Rijeka, received the award in the society category for his public engagement and advocacy of dialogue, inclusion and solidarity. In culture, the award went to filmmaker Igor Bezinović, while paraathlete Deni Černi was named Visionary of the Year in sport.

Kolak received the overall award from Hrvatski Telekom President Nataša Rapaić and Croatia’s Finance Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Ćorić. In his speech, he called for a stronger culture of recognising achievement and supporting people who create, innovate and drive positive change.
