Croatian engineering powerhouse Končar has delivered a thunderous performance in Q1 2025, posting a record order book of €2.15 billion and a staggering 129% rise in net profit to €65.1 million.
Revenues soared across all four business segments — from power generation to digital platforms — with consolidated sales climbing 46% to €306.1 million.
Export markets made up 78% of newly signed contracts worth €416.3 million, further cementing the group’s global footprint.
Leading the charge is the transmission and distribution unit, particularly D&ST, whose profit jumped 76% year-on-year.
Meanwhile, new tram and train deliveries are reshaping urban mobility across Zagreb and Osijek.
With a robust EBITDA margin of 22.7% and the European Commission greenlighting its joint venture with Siemens Energy, Končar stands poised for continued ascent, even amid global turbulence.
