The project, known as CTN Nadhod Tuš, aims to establish a safe and continuous connection for pedestrians and cyclists between Planina, the Hrastje Business Zone and the Municipality of Šenčur.
A new overpass will be built across the regional road near Hrastje, connecting existing pedestrian and cycling routes and closing a missing section of the network. The new infrastructure is expected to make everyday travel by bicycle or on foot safer and more convenient.
The connection will particularly benefit residents of Planina, employees working in the Hrastje Business Zone and residents of Kranj and Šenčur, while encouraging more sustainable forms of mobility and reducing reliance on cars for shorter journeys. The project is worth a total of €3.34 million, of which the European Regional Development Fund will provide €1.34 million. The remaining funding will be provided through other sources.
The investment is being implemented under Slovenia’s 2021–2027 European Cohesion Policy Programme, with the City Municipality of Kranj serving as the beneficiary.
