Raising Awareness And Developing Solutions

Founded in Germany in 1946, ACO is today an international company that’s present in more than 50 countries and has 40 production sites on all continents. ACO has been present for more than 20 years in the Adriatic region, in Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Montenegro

ACO is one of the world’s leading water technology companies, particularly for rainwater and wastewater management. Our mission is embodied in our claim: “ACO. we care for water”. Care in this regard means being protective and attentive, and is deeply embedded in the ACO WaterCycle. This cycle describes the collection, transportation, purification, storage and finally reuse of this vital resource. By using innovative separation and filter technologies, ACO prevents the contamination of water by fats, fuels, heavy metals and microplastics.

Worsening climate change and increasing urbanisation have influenced the water cycle to a large extent, which motivates us to work hard on the development of new technologies that protect people from water and water from people.

Many of these solutions and technologies have received prestigious awards in the construction industry, such as the Red Dot Award, Architect’s Darling, Innovation Medals and others.

Our AskACO approach comprises the expertise, continuous learning and development of innovative solutions that we create together with our clients and implement in ever-more complex and demanding projects and environmental conditions. On the basis of this approach, some of the most iconic reference projects have been implemented throughout the region: airports, city squares, highways, tunnels, bridges, ports, hotels, apartment buildings, offices and public buildings, the food industry and professional kitchens. In all of these reference projects, ACO supported placing an emphasis on safety, functionality, durability and aesthetics.

Our showrooms in Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia provide a perfect space for discussion, exchanging knowledge and identifying solutions for each challenge connected to rainwater or wastewater.

The requirements of each project and each participant in the project – investor, designer, construction company and supervisor – are carefully analysed, discussed and agreed on to ensure the desired outcome. Our showrooms in Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia provide a perfect space for discussion, exchanging knowledge and identifying solutions for each challenge connected to rainwater or wastewater. The main purpose of opening these showrooms was to bring ACO solutions closer to our clients and also learn from them about the specifics and needs of each project, in order to find the best possible solution. These are often customised solutions developed by ACO experts to suit the conditions and requirements of modern projects.

The conditions of tomorrow’s environment include ACO engagement in areas impacted by climate change, global warming and the need for healthier living conditions in urban areas. That’s why, in this region, ACO has started promoting and focusing on the sponge city concept and caring intensively for trees. By so doing, we want to contribute to raising awareness and developing solutions that will help the people and the environment in the future.
