Philippe Burq has been appointed President of the Management Board of Adriatic Luxury Hotels, effective 1 April 2026, marking a leadership shift at one of Croatia’s most prominent hotel companies.
He succeeds Antun Jakobušić, who will remain within the company as a Member of the Management Board, with responsibility for Finance, Controlling and Procurement—ensuring continuity at a time of transition.
Burq arrives with a strong international track record shaped at McKinsey & Company, where he spent more than a decade advising on operational excellence, organisational transformation and performance improvement. His work spanned multiple sectors, including mining, manufacturing, transportation and the public sector—experience that signals a strategic, systems-driven approach to leadership.
His academic background reflects that breadth. Burq holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, with a focus on management, marketing and operations, alongside degrees in civil engineering, transportation and logistics from leading institutions in Chile and France.
“I am pleased to join one of Croatia’s leading hotel companies, recognised for its strong performance and high standards,” Burq said. “I look forward to working with the team to further enhance service quality and create additional value for guests, employees, and the local community.”
The appointment comes as Adriatic Luxury Hotels continues to position itself at the premium end of the regional hospitality market, where service quality and operational precision increasingly define competitive advantage.
