U.S. Companies Dominate Global Top 100

Apple, Nvidia, and Microsoft top the global market value rankings as U.S. firms claim 62 of the Top 100 spots, leaving Europe far behind

American companies dominate the global ranking of market value, with 62 out of the Top 100 firms hailing from the United States, according to Ernst & Young’s latest report.

At the end of 2024, U.S. tech giants Apple, Nvidia, and Microsoft claimed the top spots. Apple led with a market value of approximately $3.78 trillion, followed by Nvidia at $3.28 trillion and Microsoft at $3.13 trillion. Notably, no European company ranked in the top ten.

The rise of artificial intelligence significantly boosted U.S. companies, with 24 tech firms making the Top 100, 17 of which are American. The U.S. occupies nine of the top ten positions, including Alphabet, Amazon, and Meta. The only non-U.S. company in the top ten is Saudi Aramco, ranked sixth.

Europe lags behind, with only 18 companies in the Top 100. The highest-ranking European firm is Denmark’s Novo Nordisk, in 24th place.

By the end of 2024, the combined market value of the world’s Top 100 companies reached $44.9 trillion, a 25% increase compared to the previous year.
