Strengthening Maritime Ties between Croatia and Montenegro

Ministers from Montenegro and Croatia discuss strategic projects to enhance maritime safety, infrastructure, and regional economic growth

In a landmark meeting between Montenegro’s Minister of Maritime Affairs, Filip Radulović, and Croatia’s Minister of the Sea, Transport, and Infrastructure, Oleg Butković, both nations have pledged to further strengthen their maritime relations.

With a shared goal of improving connectivity, both ministers outlined joint initiatives aimed at boosting infrastructural capacities and ensuring safer, more efficient maritime traffic between the two countries.

Radulović stated that, through concrete projects, they aim to improve the economies and lives of citizens, with a priority on protecting the marine ecosystem.

The talks also focused on maritime safety and modernising port infrastructure, with Radulović emphasising the importance of ongoing cooperation.

Butković highlighted Croatia’s deep-rooted maritime tradition, signalling a continued exchange of expertise, particularly in search and rescue operations at sea.

As both countries seek to bolster regional stability and foster economic growth, this collaboration promises to elevate their maritime sector to new heights, ensuring safer seas and a more interconnected future.
