Rimac Unleashes the Nevera R in a Radical Evolution of Electric Hypercars

Rimac Automobili has just raised the stakes in the world of electric hypercars with the introduction of the Nevera R—a thrilling new addition to the Nevera lineup

Billed as the aggressive alter ego of the original Nevera, the R version transitions from a Hyper GT into a true Hyper Sportscar, embodying the bold philosophy of the Rimac brand: Radical, Rebellious, Relentless.

Equipped with next-generation Rimac All-Wheel Torque Vectoring, advanced braking systems, and a performance-driven battery setup, the Nevera R is engineered for ultimate cornering prowess. With an astounding 2,107 hp at its disposal, it surpasses the straight-line performance of its predecessor, reaching a jaw-dropping 300 km/h (186 mph) in just 8.66 seconds—outpacing even the record-shattering Nevera.

“When we developed the Nevera, a key goal was to create a Grand Tourer—spacious, comfortable, and perfectly balanced between thrilling performance and everyday accessibility,” said Mate Rimac, Founder and CEO of Rimac Group. “The result was a high-performance car that not only set new records at the Nürburgring Nordschleife but could also be driven comfortably for thousands of miles across continents. It was a watershed moment in automotive history: the world’s first production all-electric hypercar, leading a new generation.”

“But we’re always listening to our customers, many of whom wanted a car that pushed the Nevera’s cornering capabilities even further, leveraging all of the cutting-edge technology we’ve developed. The Nevera R is our answer: retaining the record-breaking DNA of the original Nevera, but now lighter, faster, and even more focused on delivering an exhilarating driving experience.”

With the Nevera R, Rimac continues to redefine what’s possible in the world of high-performance electric vehicles, ensuring that the future of driving is not only sustainable but also electrifying.
